How VoyageGPT handles truth
These are the app owner's commitments for how information is presented in VoyageGPT.
Labels you will see
- VERIFIED Retrieved from a named provider (OpenStreetMap, Open-Meteo, OSRM) or entered by you.
- AI ANALYSIS Reasoning or suggestions generated by the AI model.
- ESTIMATE An approximation, useful for planning but not a quoted price.
- HYPOTHETICAL A what-if scenario, not a prediction.
- DEMO DATA Sample content shown only in the demo trip.
What VoyageGPT will not do
- Invent prices, availability, reviews or ratings.
- Present AI reasoning as verified fact.
- Claim live flight or hotel inventory it does not have. Where a feed is missing, the app says “Information unavailable.”
- Guarantee visa, entry, health or safety outcomes — always confirm with official sources.
Data providers
- Maps and places: OpenStreetMap contributors (Nominatim, Overpass).
- Routing and travel times: OSRM.
- Weather: Open-Meteo.
- Web research: Tavily, with source links shown for every answer.
- AI reasoning: Groq-hosted language models.
Your data
Your trip profile, itinerary, expenses, alerts and packing list are stored in your own browser's local storage. There is no account and no trip database. Clearing your browser data removes the trip.
When you ask the assistant a question, the relevant trip context is sent to the AI and search providers so they can answer. API keys stay on the server and are never exposed to the browser.
